Ar. Jayul Pahadiawalaa
Founder & Principal Architect
Ar. Jayul Pahadiawalaa brings a diverse academic foundation and a strong design vision to Ariul Studio. He completed his Bachelor’s in Architecture from SCET College of Architecture, Surat, followed by a Master’s in Landscape Architecture from the renowned AA School of Architecture. He further expanded his expertise with a second Master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning (MPLAN) from Parul University, equipping him with an integrated understanding of design across scales — from material detailing to urban systems.
As the founder and conceptual inceptor of Ariul Sttudio, Jayul has been instrumental in shaping the firm’s philosophy, values and practice. He often reflects that both he and the studio have evolved together, growing steadily through shared experiences, challenges and opportunities.
Known for his quiet and introspective personality, Jayul is a designer who speaks through his work. His concepts are methodical, well-researched and grounded in strong design logic. He has a particular interest in detail development, material exploration and the technical refinement of design elements. His proficiency in understanding materials and their applications contributing to the studio’s distinctive design outcomes.
His love for newness moves beyond architecture. Jayul is equally passionate about finance, vastu, and finding innovative ways to blend logic with creativity. Outside work, he finds joy in spending meaningful time with his partner/children and experimenting in the kitchen — where creativity continues to flow, just in different flavours.
Jayul’s journey reflects what Ariul Sttudio stands for: knowledge, exploration, growth and the courage to imagine differently.
Ar Devika V Deshmukh
Founder & Principal Architect
Ar. Devika V. Deshmukh is an architect whose journey reflects both intellectual depth and an ever-evolving relationship with people, places, and design. A graduate of BKPS College of Architecture, Pune, she further honed her academic and design sensibilities through a post-graduation from the AA School of Architecture, London, specializing in Housing and Urbanism.
Originally from Nagpur and Maharashtrian at heart, Devika has spent the last decade in Surat, a city she now calls home with complete affection.
Devika believes that architecture has constantly pushed her to explore layers of herself she might otherwise have never discovered. This profession, for her, is not merely about building spaces—it is about navigating complexities, stretching boundaries, and finding meaning between aesthetics, functionality, and human behaviour. Her design approach is deeply methodical, driven by planning, clarity of process, and an innate ability to structure everything—from a home layout to a day in her life.
Small achievements bring her immense joy, and her positivity forms the bedrock of her work culture. She takes genuine pride in her impactful contributions to Ariul Sttudio, where her involvement is both foundational and forward-moving.
A mother of two, Devika finds strength and fulfilment in balancing design, deadlines, and the beautiful chaos of motherhood.. A keen observer of people and spaces, she naturally translates human behaviour, lifestyle nuances, and emotional responses into her design paradigms—This instinctive understanding elevates not just the spaces ,but also the relationships and trust she builds along the way. . Her favourite pauses in life are coffees reading breaks shared with her closest friends and partner—moments that recharge her creative spirit.
